Angelique
Practice Manager
I have a deep passion for animals and have been working in the animal industry for 11 years, my favorite being veterinary medicine. Before that, I was a junior dog handler showing English bull terriers. My favorite thing about working in a vet office is seeing an animal come back in for a recheck being all better from our efforts. I also run a reptile rescue called Ruby’s Reptile Rodeo and have volunteered at the Wild Bird Fund in NYC and Fresh Start Reptile Rescue in NC. As a child, I wanted to be a doctor, then changed paths to music, I started playing the piano at 3 years old, attended specialized schools for classical music, and aspired to be a concert pianist. My future career goal is to achieve my VTS in exotics or anesthesia, but more than likely exotics. I share my life with a diverse group of animals, including 9 dogs, 5 cats, birds, reptiles, and more. Outside of work, I enjoy building my sports car, playing with my many animals, gaming with my family, and playing the piano.

Crysta
Veterinary Assistant
I currently have 1 dog and 2 cats. In the past, I’ve had snakes, lizards, frogs, and a tortoise. I’ve been working in the animal industry since October of 2023. My favorite thing about working here is being able to participate in a team; we flow like a sports team. When I was younger, I wanted to be a horror writer or write books about aquatic animals. My future career goals are to become an American Sign Language teacher. Outside of work, I enjoy longboard dancing and playing Magic: The Gathering. One skill I have is that I’m fluent in American Sign Language and I’m learning Spanish Sign Language.

Riley
Veterinary Assistant
Currently, I have 5 dogs: two working line German Shepherds named Paisley and Kimber, a Belgian Malinois named Vendetta, a French Bulldog named Henry, and a Cane Corso named Callie. I’ve been working in the animal industry for 4 years, and my favorite part of working in a vet office is working with animals and helping clients with their pets in times of need. As a child, I always wanted to be a veterinarian, and my future career goals include finishing tech school and possibly going to school to become a veterinarian. Outside of work, I enjoy training my dogs, off-roading, camping, and boating.

Melissa
Receptionist
Melissa has a background in human medicine but has found tremendous fulfillment in working with animals. Her favorite thing about her role at JAM Veterinary Services is experiencing all the different animals and witnessing the love people have for their pets.Outside of the clinic, Melissa has several pets of her own, including three dogs and two sulcata tortoises. Her hobbies include diamond art, making diaper cakes, and of course, spoiling her fur-babies. She is also into all things spooky and strange.

MaKayla
Veterinary Assistant
Hi, I’m MaKayla R. House. I’m a veterinary assistant with over six years of experience in veterinary medicine. I’m currently in school working toward becoming a licensed veterinary technician, and I absolutely love what I do.
Helping animals live healthier and happier lives is what drives me every day. I’m especially passionate about making sure each pet gets the care and attention they deserve—whether it's during a routine check-up or when they're not feeling their best.
When I’m not at work or studying, I’m usually hanging out with my own little zoo at home: my ball python, Fish; my bearded dragon, Finn; my dog, Essie; and my cat, Jojo. They definitely keep life interesting! -

I have spent most of my life traveling the US and live my life by adventure. I was born in Arizona and was on my first flight at 6 months old to Seattle. Mexico by the age of 10 and Canada by 15. The travel bug got stuck and I've now traveled across the US, Canada and Mexico. I am also a Navy Veteran and seasoned bartender. I love camping and off roading, especially with my pup Fawkes. I really love animals and helping them is a joy unlike any other. I also have a passion for water sports, but my favorite is flying boarding. I enjoy reading, writing and gardening and I love to eat. You could call it a hobby. I do hope to thru hike all three major trails someday, The Pacific Crest Trail, The Appalachian Trail, and the Continental Divide trail so I can acquire the triple crown of thru hiking while completing over 5000 miles surviving on my own two feet with just a backpack. I also love my family and friends and I love being an aunt. I recently started a college degree after having been out of school for 20 years. Lastly, I hope to build a gyrocopter for my mid life crisis and I dream of traveling Europe and Asia before I retire. -

From the moment I can remember, I have been surrounded by pets—today, I share my home with four dogs and seven cats. My deep respect for animals drives every aspect of my work, and I find immense satisfaction in supporting both the pets who come through our doors and the families who love them. Outside of work, I enjoy reading and traveling with my family. Whether I’m exploring new destinations or curled up with a good book, I always make time to connect with my own furry family at home. Caring for my dogs and cats enriches my personal life and continually inspires me to provide the best possible support to the clients and animals we serve at JAM.
